Alex Sawyer: Founder & Chief Executive, Kleidos
Alex Sawyer is a widely respected senior executive, strategist, and leadership architect. With more than two decades experience in global finance, public service, and organisational transformation roles have made him one of the leading minds in leadership of his generation.
He serves as a trusted adviser to senior corporate and institutional leaders, government officials, and influential decision-makers across multiple continents.
Alex’s experience across national and international politics, global affairs, and senior public leadership gives him a rare and informed understanding of influence, governance, and strategic decision-making at the highest levels. His approach blends performance psychology, behavioural science, and commercial insight, enabling leaders to think with precision, act with conviction, and guide their organisations with authority and impact.
Alex began his financial services career in the City of London, gaining early exposure to global markets, institutional risk, and the information flows that shape high level financial decision making.
Alex developed his career across the global trading ecosystem, scaling commodities trading, forex trading, and interest rate trading through integrated marketing and business development. He later served as Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, and Chief Business Development Officer, directing global commercial strategy, institutional client expansion, and cross border partnerships.
Outside the commercial sphere, he served for four consecutive terms, totalling 16 years, as an elected politician in English local government. During this time, he spent 12 years as a Cabinet member, ultimately holding the position of Deputy Leader. In these senior roles, he worked closely with central government departments, the Mayor of London’s Office, and Members of both Houses of Parliament to secure investment, infrastructure delivery, and essential public services.

James is responsible for translating the company’s vision into actionable strategy, ensuring that Kleidos operates with clarity, cohesion, and purpose at every level.James commands the strategic planning function and oversees company-wide initiatives that drive scalability, innovation, and market relevance. He works closely with the CEO to set direction, prioritise key opportunities, and ensure operational alignment with the company’s mission. His leadership permeates all departments to ensure the organisation stays agile, focused, and future-ready.A former commissioned officer in the British Armed Forces, James brings decades of leadership experience that cannot be taught, only earned. He has led complex teams in high-pressure environments where precision, discipline, and decisiveness can be the difference between success and failure, and life and death. His background in leadership development, personality assessment, and behavioural psychology enables him to design high-performance systems that align any person with the purpose that will propel them towards success.James’ rare combination of military leadership in critical situations and human insight makes him a cornerstone of Kleidos’ executive leadership, driving the company forward with clarity, intent, and integrity.
William Ashford serves as CTO, leading the company’s technological vision with a deep commitment to innovation, integrity, and human-centred design. With more than two decades of experience at the intersection of behavioural science and emerging technology, William ensures that every digital solution developed at Kleidos is both robust and purpose-driven.
A strategic, hands-on innovator, William has a proven track record of building scalable platforms, driving digital transformation, and fostering engineering cultures rooted in curiosity and excellence. He believes technology should amplify human potential, not replace human achievement, an ethos that aligns perfectly with Kleidos’ mission. At Kleidos, William oversees the full technology landscape, from product architecture and data infrastructure to cybersecurity and future tech strategy.

Pauric Treanor - Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Kleidos
Pauric is an international educator and performance-focused professional with experience across Europe and the Middle East. He has worked in high-expectation environments supporting young adults and emerging leaders to develop greater clarity, discipline, and resilience in the face of challenge and transition. His background spans education, sport and behavioural change, giving him a practical understanding of how people think, learn and perform under pressure.
Pauric’s work focuses on mindset development, identity-based habits and the daily systems that convert ambition into consistent results. He has extensive experience working with culturally diverse groups and guiding individuals through periods of uncertainty, goal-resetting, and personal reinvention. His approach is structured, honest and future-focused, emphasising clear thinking, self-leadership and meaningful action.
